PUSH BACK 2010 – February 15
On Monday, February 15, over 3000 taxpayers from across Washington State gathered on the Capitol steps to send their legislators a clear message: “No New Taxes!” Attendees voiced their concerns with their elected officials’ continual push for more and higher taxes; even as businesses struggle to keep their doors open and families make deep cuts to their own personal budgets. Speakers Dori Monson, Kirby Wilber, and Lynn Harsh, among others, addressed the crowd, highlighting the situation of extreme taxation in our state, but also sharing the hope that comes from citizens who care enough to fight for their country. As the rally drew to a close, attendees ventured inside the Legislative Building to speak directly with their legislators and leave them with a hand-written note on one of our Push Back Postcards.
